Recording for Blank CDR's

PRINT THESE RULES, READ THEM COMPLETELY, FILL THEM OUT, AND SIGN THEM. THEN INCLUDE THEM WITH YOUR TRADE.

I realize these directions are lengthy but please READ THEM IN FULL!! If you ask me a question and I know the answer is on this page, I will just refer you to the page and request that you read them in full. If you ask me more than one question which is answered on this page, I will refuse to trade with you because that obviously means you can't follow directions.

I ask this because I am having problems with people following my directions and generally people seem to be taking advantage of the fact that I will trade for blank cdrs.

If you do not follow them exactly I will return your request to you. I am doing this as a favor to those who have no other way of starting their collection because I know how hard it is to start out. I hate to sound strict but I am very busy with real trades and my life and do not have time for exceptions. And please don't complain about my strictness. I am not an ogre, I am actually a very nice person, and trading with me can be a very pleasurable experience if you let it be that way.

1. I ask for 2 blank cdr's per recording mailed back to you. If you choose an album that is 2 cdr's in length, then you would send 4 cdr's.

DO NOT SEND MONEY! I do not sell any of my albums and do not want money for any reason at all!
2. If you are new to cdr's and need help, the first and best place to go is Andy McFadden's CD-Recordable FAQ. It can answer any question you may have.
3. When making your request, make sure you ask for items that are actually on my list. Recording for recording trades are a higher priority to me and thus I do not have time to read everyone's requests thouroughly until I actually start burning the cd's.
4. I have rated all of my albums with a rating I felt they deserved. If you receive the cd's and they have skips which I do not find to be on the original, or tracks will not play, or they have been damaged during shipping then I will be happy to replace them.

I rarely receive any complaints but there are a few bad apples out there. If you receive the show and feel disappointed or do not agree with my rating then that is the risk that YOU took and I will not return your blank cdr's or compensate you in any other way.

Please view my explanation of my rating system if you need more information on this.

6. I take the above information to be more final than any email correspondance. I will not keep any of your past emails and will not refer to them when filling your request. So make sure that what you REALLY want is what you print above.
7. Please do not send blank cdr's of inferior quality.

I prefer TDK but will accept other well known brands such as Verbatum and Kodak.

DO NOT send Maxell or Imation discs. I hate to be fickle about this but I have recently run into major problems with those two brands.

DO NOT send unbranded or plain discs with a silver coating on the top. The silver coating tends to flake off after only a few uses of the cd.
8. Send the cd's in sleeves rather than jewel cases. If you send them in jewel cases, they will be returned to you in sleeves. If you can't find sleeves, plastic baggies will also work. Just make sure to send enough baggies to cover the amount of cd's I will mail back to you. If you do not send sleeves at all, that is how they will come back to you. I am not responsible for any damage incurred to the discs.
9. Include return postage. Again, I am doing this as a favor to you. I do not have the money to spend on return postage unless it is a recording for recording trade.

  • If you are in the US you can buy stamps in $1 increments. Please include $1 per cd I will mail back to you, up to 4 cd's. After 4 cd's please send $1 per 2 cds. DO NOT send a bunch of 37 cent stamps or cash.

  • If you are outside the US please send 2 International Return Coupons per cd that I will mail back to you, up to 5 cd's. If you are requesting more than 5 cd's, please ask me how many IRC's it will require to mail it back to you. International Postage can be very costly when the amount of cd's to return become high.
10. Send the cd's in a resealable, padded envelope so that I may mail your cds back to you in it. If the envelope is not padded, I am not responsible for any damage incurred.
11. I will not put my mailing address on my web page for security reasons. Please contact me at listmanager@interactivetoad.com if you are interested in a trade.
12. Any album covers that are available, are available for download on my site. I will not print covers for you.
13. I do my trades on a first-come, first-serve basis, but recording for recording trades are always a higher priority. Depending on how busy I am at the time, it could take me up to a month to get the cd's back to you. I will constantly remain in contact with you throughout the trade. I will let you know when I receive the cd's and when I mail them out. I will also give you an estimation as to how long it will take me to get your requests out to you.
